Jens Mehrhoff is Senior Economist in the Statistics Department of the IMF. Previously he was with the Deutsche Bundesbank for almost 15 years, most recently as the Head of the Sustainable Finance Data Hub. Jens currently co-chairs the Communication and Engagement Sub-stream of the NGFS Workstream on Scenario Design and Analysis. His research is mostly focused on data-driven issues in forward-looking, climate-related physical and transition risk indicators as well as high-frequency indicators of economic activity, real estate, and inflation measurement. He has published articles in various professional journals and contributed to international manuals. Jens is a member of several advisory and research groups within the global statistics community. He holds a PhD in Economics.
